60／40 キャンバス
60%コットン、40%ナイロンによって構成された、日本製の生地になります。
強度のあるナイロンの良さと風合いあるコットンの経年変化、両方の良い部分を取り入れた新素材です。一見普通のコットンの様な見た目ですが、緯糸に入るナイロンが角度により光る為、見た目にも斬新な素材となっています。
またコットンよりもナイロンが軽い為、鞄の軽量化も図れています。この素材をワンウォッシュして使用する事により、更にしっかりとした目詰りとなっています。
ナイロンの強度を備えながらも経年変化を感じる、ナチュラルだけどハイテク、それが60/40
CANVASの特性です。
'60/40 Canvas' is an original Japanese material composed of 60% cotton and 40% nylon.
The
benefits of this material come from combining the strength of the nylon, and the rustic texture of the
cotton. The material is designed to be lightweight as the nylon fibres are lighter than cotton
fibres.
'60/40 Canvas' is tightly woven using a traditional loom so it is strong and durable. The
canvas is then washed once prior to production to shrink the fabric, forming an even closer
weave.
Over time, the canvas texture weathers nicely giving it a soft look, but it still
maintains it's strength.
